Site Rules

Persons who fail to observe these rules may be asked to leave the caravan park.

SITING. Please park as indicated by a member of our staff, caravans must not be parked awning to awning. Only one car per pitch, additional vehicles to be parked in the car park.

NOISE. Musical instruments, TVs and radios must not be used to the inconvenience of other caravan park users. Generators are forbidden. No loud noise after 10pm. Please think of your neighbours.

DRONES. The flying of drones over any part of the caravan park grounds is strictly prohibited.

DOGS. Dogs are allowed on site but must be on a lead at all times, including whilst on your pitch. Please use our large exercise field for dogs which is located to the right of our entrance drive. All accidents must be cleared immediately. Young children should not be left to walk dogs unaccompanied. Only assistance dogs are allowed in any of the caravan park buildings. Dogs must not be left unattended on the park or in caravans. No dogs allowed on the play area or surrounding field/camping area.

FIRES. No wood fires of any sort are allowed on site. Please ensure that barbecues are raised off the ground and do not burn the grass. Please keep children away from fire points.

ELECTRICITY. The electricity supply to each caravan is 16amps. Domestic fan heaters and kettles are not to be used in caravans and awnings. Low wattage heaters and kettles are permitted.

TOILET and SHOWER BLOCKS. All of our amenity areas have 24 hour access, with cleaning times displayed inside the blocks. Children of 8 years and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult. Disabled facilities are available, please ask at reception for further information.

CARS. The speed limit for all vehicles, from the A170, is 10mph. Please ensure the safety of others by observing both the speed limit AND the one way system. Only licence holders may drive vehicles within the caravan park.

BICYCLES. Cyclists should observe the speed limits and the one way systems. Children should be supervised when on bicycles and must not ride on the pavements around the reception buildings.

VISITORS. Please let the reception know if you are expecting visitors. Visitors' cars must be parked in the car park opposite the reception building.

WATER. Water is metered and should not be wasted. The washing of cars and caravans on site is not permitted. Arrangements can be made for the cleaning of your caravan through reception, please ask for details. There is a motorhome service point for fresh water and disposal of grey water.

PLAY PARK/GAMES AREA. A large playing field is provided for all types of ball games, and for the flying of kites. It is not permitted to play ball games or fly kites amongst the caravans. All children under the age of 12 using the play park must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children ages 12 and under playing without supervision will be asked to leave the area. The responsibility for children's safety remains with the parent or guardian. No dogs allowed on the play area or surrounding camp field. The play park must be vacated by dusk.

VANS. Signwritten/commercial vans are not accepted on the caravan park.

WASHING LINES are not allowed on the caravan park. Other drying equipment must be on your pitch and not the grass, please remove and pack away whilst away from the caravan.


General Information

RECEPTION OPEN DAILY. Opening hours 8.30am to midday & 1pm to 5pm. A small supply of caravan spares and consumables are available from the reception/office.

TOILET DISPOSAL POINTS. These are positioned at each toilet block, and at the rear of the launderette. Please use carefully, pouring the contents slowly into running water. Chemical Loo water tanks should be filled at these points, not at fresh water drink points.

POT WASH AREAS. These are located at the side of our amenity blocks, except nearest to reception where it is located within the launderette.

LAUNDERETTE/INFORMATION ROOM. There is a coin operated launderette with both washing and drying facilities, near to reception. Washing must not be hung on lines in the park, window racks are acceptable but must be on your pitch and not the grass. Our information leaflets are also located in here where you will find details of local attractions, events and places to dine. Plus for campers there is a communal fridge freezer for use during your stay.

SHOP/CAFÉ. There is a shop/cafe on site, providing a range of quality goods and meals. Opening times are displayed on the door.

GAS. Propane, butane and campingaz are available to purchase from reception.

BATTERY CHARGING. Charging facilities are available at reception for a small fee.

MEDICAL. The nearest doctors' surgery is located 1/2 a mile away in West Ayton, tel 01723 836100. There is an accident & emergency department at Scarborough Hospital, located on the A171 Whitby Road out of Scarborough. Post code YO12 6QL, tel 01723 368111. For emergency dental treatment contact NHS Direct on 111. For pet emergencies please contact Swanzdale Vets on 01723 363006. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES DIAL 999.

STORAGE. Storage for caravans and trailer tents may be available on an annual basis. Please ask reception for details.

DEPARTURE. The normal departure time is between 8.30am and 11.00am. If you wish to leave earlier than this or stay longer, please ask at reception for details.

WIFI. Please log on to St_Helens_wifi, the password is the word freewifi.

RECYCLING. Please use the recycling bins as appropriate - do not contaminate.

RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBOURS' PRIVACY. Please refrain from walking across people's pitches when crossing the caravan park. Please use the nearest appropriate footway or carriageway.

EMERGENCIES OUT OF OFFICE HOURS. If you have a genuine NON MEDICAL EMERGENCY, or are experiencing unacceptable disturbance out of our regular office hours please use the intercom located outside reception.
