St Helen's on-site shop

Missing a key ingredient?

Our onsite licensed shop is open from 8.30am daily. We stock a wide range of everyday essentials from bread and milk, to ice cream and alcohol! You can pre-order your newspapers, pick up some batteries and get your waterpipe connections all in one visit! We have a good selection of camping and caravan gear, ensuring you don’t need to worry should you forget something.

Soap-tastic bathrooms

To make bath time a breeze, we’ve three accessible family friendly bathrooms with play pens and baby-changing areas. There’s also a wet room for guests with disabilities as well as the traditional shower blocks. Oh, and free hairdryers!

For an extra special experience, why not book our Jacuzzi Relaxation Suite? The 2.4 metre 2 person jacuzzi jet spa bath has Brazilian black slate walls and underfloor heating.

To add any bathroom onto your stay, please ring or email with your booking reference number.

Children's Play Area

Our superb children’s play area is close to one of our camping fields. There’s also a ball games field perfect for that family game of rounders or cricket. To keep things peaceful, we don’t have a games room and after 10pm is ‘quiet time’.

Dog Walk and Revenge Wood

We’re located on the 7,500 acre family owned Dawnay Estate, with access to many lovely country walks. There are even alpacas and donkeys to look at along the way.

Just off the main entrance driveway, our dog walk winds through more than 10 acres of woodland. Planted in 2005 in partnership with The Woodland Trust, Revenge Wood marks the 200th anniversary of Trafalgar. It’s named after one of Nelson’s battleships, captained by Whitby local Robert Moorsom.

Muddy paws no more!

Keeping your four-legged friend clean on holiday is no easy task. Our professional stainless steel dog wash station has a handy dog-friendly step and temperature controlled shower head. The smooth sliding side keeps the furry ones safe, and there are soft restraints for more fidgety doggies.

A clean getaway

Many of our guests enjoy the fantastic cycling routes around us, including the mountain bike trails of Dalby Forest. Our bike wash area has its own wall mounted bike holder and high-pressure water gun.

Keep on top of the washing

Our caravan site has a coin operated laundrette with washing and drying facilities. We even have dedicated dog bedding and coat washing and drying machines! It’s located close to reception and is open 24 hours a day.

Cooking on gas?

Exchange your empty Calor Gas bottles at reception. We’ve a stock of 4.5 - 13kg Propane and Butane gas bottles.

Stay connected

Need to check emails or catch up with your favourite YouTuber? We offer free basic WiFi across our caravan and camping park. Just enter the password and enjoy free internet.

To be fair to everyone, there are time restrictions, and peak periods may experience a surge in demand.

Scarborough - Pickering Waypost

Take a break from the wheel

The bus stop right outside the Park’s entrance is served by the 128 and X28 day bus routes which run to Scarborough, Pickering and Helmsley. Take a look at their online bus timetable.

Hedgehog

Giving wildlife a home

No boring flat fields of caravans here! We’re founded on a former sand quarry, and so make the most of our undulating landscape by planting flowers and trees. We’re committed to conservation, installing mixed species hedges, pollinator-friendly flowers, wildflower strips, more than 2,000 spring bulbs and bug hotels.

Keep your eyes peeled for butterflies, hedgehogs and slow worms!

Open to non-residents

We love being part of our local community, and often host charity events like cake sales. Locals are very welcome to enjoy our children’s play area and café. Just walk in or park at the pre-barrier car parking spots to the right of the reception building.
