MEET DIGBY! 🦕📚💚

We have something rather special available from Reception at St Helens in the Park, and there’s a lovely story behind it.

Lost for a Year is a charming children’s book aimed at younger readers, with an extra bit of fun along the way – a “Find Digby” challenge on every page! 🦕

And this is where it gets a little confusing… because this story involves three Sues!

The book was written by two authors, both called Sue. One of those authors was the best friend of our lovely customer Sue, who stays here at St Helens.

Sadly, our Sue’s best friend, one of the book’s co-authors, passed away from bowel cancer a few years ago 💚

Since then, our Sue has been doing her bit to help keep her friend’s book – and her memory – alive.

She lovingly makes the little Digby dinosaurs by hand to accompany each copy, and we’re delighted to now have them available here at St Helens.

The book and handmade Digby are £12 together, with an incredible £10 from every sale going to Macmillan Cancer Support and just £2 covering Sue’s costs for making Digby. 💚

We’d love to help sell as many as we can, raise some money for an amazing charity and help Sue continue something that means so much to her.
