Important COVID-19 Update

Last updated 24th March 2020, 9am

St Helens Caravan Park is currently closed

We find ourselves in unprecedented times and the health and safety of our customers and employees is at the forefront of our minds.

Therefore, we have made the decision to close St Helens in the Park from 24th March until the 1st May 2020, as a minimum.

This closure will be reviewed as and when we receive further Government clarification and if necessary, will be extended on a rolling monthly basis.

This move will enable us to do all we can to protect as many people as we can from this horrendous virus that is sweeping across the country. Below is an extract from the Government’s statement clearly outlining and referencing the need to stop visiting establishments like ourselves.

‘Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.’

This decision has not been taken lightly and is done for all the right reasons.

Bookings and reservations

We want to clarify our position regarding reservations that have already been made and to give peace of mind for guests looking to book ahead. As mentioned above, we will be closed until the 1st May 2020 as a minimum.

Bookings during March and April 2020: All bookings during March and April 2020 have been cancelled. If you have provided an email address, we will use this to inform you. Any money that has been paid in advance for that booking will be placed against your unique customer account as a credit balance for you to spend at any point in the future up until Easter 2021, subject to availability. When you wish to rebook you will need to call our reception for them to access your credit balance.

We will continue to monitor the Government guidelines and inform our customers if we have to close for longer.

We would like to take a moment to thank all the NHS staff, their support network, & all the other many key workers who are working hard to keep this country running and to keep us safe. From the bottom of our hearts we thank them.

We will keep you all informed when we have any updates, however in the meantime please take care of yourselves, and each other, and whenever possible please stay away from others, so we can all play our part.

Take care, stay safe.
