Exciting plans revealed for the North Yorkshire Water Park

Plans for North Yorkshire Water Park, a new visitor attraction, have been announced.

The Water Park will be within walking distance of St Helens in the Park and will offer fun for all the family.

Opening the first phase of the Water Park will be an AquaPark, a ‘Total Wipeout’ inflatable obstacle course which will include climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars, rockers, rollers and blast bags for people to jump, swim and climb on.

The Water Park will also offer opportunities to try stand up paddle boarding, sailing, windsurfing, open water swimming, canoeing activities.

The Water Park will be situated at Wykeham Lakes, where local water sports clubs and individual members have been sailing, windsurfing and model yacht racing for many years. There are five lakes at the site, with some specialist trout and coarse fishing lakes amongst mature woodland.

Further plans are in place to develop the Water Park into a larger visitor attraction over the next two years. Plans include expansion of the small café, changing rooms and showers at the lake, with additional water sports activities including a Wake Park, Pedalos and Mini-Ports. There will also be the development of a cycle track through the woodland and around the lake side.
